About Anna
During this pandemic she is still designing, planning a new YouTube and helping students on the telephone, Zoom and in the garden! She enjoys hearing from you.
Anna has designed, taught and written about needlepoint for more than 40 years. She has taught in the USA for the America Needlepoint Guild and EGA and fund raised for Woodlawn Plantation. In England she founded the Needlepoint Network, trained people who teach her designs in their area, helping others to enjoy stitching, learn the best techniques and have access to all her designs and ideas.
She has been lucky enough to travel a great deal and particularly enjoys bringing home ideas, photographs and sketches of decorative details to inspire her new designs. Many of them incorporate exciting stitches -she is always playing with textures and beautiful threads to create designs that are both fun and challenging to stitch and elegant when finished.
No piece is ever stitched without Anna knowing of an excellent finisher for that piece - pillows/cushions, framed pictures and trays, rugs and wall hangings and many small items such as spec cases, Kindle and iPad covers.
She is the author of a number of books including 'Needlepoint Stitch by Stitch' and 'The Complete Needlepoint Course'
Do visit her first two YouTube tutorials, the first on Florentine and then the 10 Top Tips; whether you have done little or a lot of stitching or indeed none I hope you will find them useful.
She still continues to hold regular classes in London and annual trips to Italy.
About the kits
For more than 40 years Anna has designed needlepoint using only the highest quality materials and frequently either travel or historically inspired. All designs use textured stitches and backgrounds, that both enhance the final results and are easy to follow. This makes all her designs far more interesting to work and faster to grow.
Each kit has high quality Zweigart canvas (the mesh is given for each design); it is hand-taped and a generous supply of Tapestry needles of the correct size are included.
The majority of designs are offered with or without threads. Most complete designs are available in 3 different schemes with the corresponding finished piece illustrated in colour on the cover, correct coloured canvas and a generous supply of the threads.
They can also be purchased without threads to enable you, the stitcher, to select your very own colour scheme. In this case the original list of threads used and their quantities is also enclosed. It is recommended that when assembling the threads you chose a stranded cotton to replace a stranded cotton, an Overdyed floss for another Overdyed floss etc to give the same effect.
Other designs, such as Vide Poche are designed especially so your existing stock of left-overs can be used so these kits includes taped canvas, needles and instructions along with colour and thread suggestions.
P&P in the UK is included in the prices quoted. For overseas please contact us for details.
For businesses we do offer wholesale terms please don’t hesitate to contact Anna and her team.
